Missionary Cut

This was months and months ago, but I finally have a breather so I am posting it now :)
So I work in a hair salon.
Each month we try to put together education for our commission girls.
Well several of our commission girls came from salons where they didn't do men's cuts.
Well we do. So we needed to brush up their skills.
However, on the day of their class no one could find models.
I just happened to know 4 boys that might be interested in free haircuts.

(R-L Elder Canova, Elder Keith, and the Mandrin Missionaries)
It was on monday so they were very available and made it there within 30 minutes of my call.
I became the hero

They got free cuts!

All-in-all it was a successful day!

Thank you elders...

Mr and Mrs Teachout

Natey's bestest buddy FINALLY got married a couple weeks ago. Christian married Jackie (who we adore) so off to good ole' San Antonio we went.

Nate was the best man so we got to be there for all of the festivities

Maid of Honor + Best Man

I call this 'the alamo at night'

(L-R) Scott Brown, Nate Clark, Christian Teachout
ALL proud TSAM missionaries
ALL crossed the line once before committing themselves to their mission
All crossing the line once again committing themselves to marriage
*moment of silence
it's a big deal (ha)

THE DAY

My handsome guy

Maybe you have seen the stupid movie "27 dresses" well it plays off this whole "when the bride walks in I look at the groom" well... here's that shot and I must say it was beautiful.
Cute Christian.

Introducing Mr and Mrs Teachout

Jackie has Mexican blood somewhere in her and defiantly cashed in on her wedding day with an amazing mariachi band.
Seriously, why didn't I pretend I was Mexican for my wedding.
LOVE mariachi.

Groomsies

Congratulations !!
We heart you two!

Ward Basketball is PIMP

One of the things Nate ADORES about where we live is his basketball crew. He gets up 3X a week at 5am to go play basketball with some ward buddies, every Wednesday night as well, and then Saturday mornings for official ward games. For his wife who suffers through this (waking up without fail every morning with him, him sucking 20 lbs, and him gone on your night off) it finally paid of.
The big time.
The Friday night of the year.

THE REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
(He's the sexy one with his shirt off)

No I really don't stay that tuned into Nate's basketballness, I just appreciate his happiness about it all and indulge in the banter about it afterwards. Having said that... they did make it to the final game, but lost to a team with Kobe Bryant on it. Sad, but inevitable. The whole ward basketball thing is a first for me. I think my dad played but by the time I came around he was to old. So I never went to games and ran around the stake center. I think I'd have thought it was as much fun as all the kids I saw at Nate's game though.

Do you work?

I'm sure everyone has days like this..... you're tired, you're busy, you have a million things to do, you have a million things on your mind, your a million minutes late to a meeting, and you walk out the door and arrive to work like this:

But it sure was funny.

Birthday Marathon

There are 3 bay area Clark birthdays in March so Carie (Bay Area Birthday 1) was kind enough to host us all for a celebratory dinner at her house.  It was a nice to get together again and was, of course, delicious.

Carie and Nate's cousin Heather both made delicious and beautiful cakes for Nate and Jon.... I personally couldn't resist the football shaped german chocolate:)

Now, I struggled on what to do for this kind man's actual day... he's so difficult. So I went ahead and let him do whatever it was he wanted and it went like this:
1. Breakfast in Bed
2. Sleep in
2. Work from home
3. Lunch prepared FOR him
4. Watch the Jazz game
5. Get Sushi
6. Play B-Ball with friends

He said that was perfect? Men... I tried to come up with something suprising and big, but I came up with more reasons why I should NOT do anything big instead. I guess it paid off.
Regardless, I love you Nate boy and Happy Birthday again!
