brigs first cut

So... brig and i ventured back to Utah for baby ezzie's blessing 

It was all so wonderful, so fast, and not a picture captured by myself.

Sometimes when i've got a big trip like that to document, it's so daunting... I don't.

BUT

bottom line

my batteries are recharged

now a week+ later i'm trying to get back in my swing of things

which is always so hard for me. 

I just wind up vegging for a week or so

anyway, the one monumental activity that occurred on said trip was:

the first cut

before

i guess i just didn't realize how out of control/grandpa-ish brig's hair was getting

when i'm home it's just me as a critic

my siblings whipped me into shape, let me know it was time to cute baby boys hair

after

he did awesome, and only in Utah is there one of these adorable hair salons on every corner

he sat in a toy airplane, watched the hungry catepillar, and his aunties, nannie, and ezzie danced around him. He only cried when she used the trimmers around his ears. I'm assuming the noise is what frightened him.

And now? 

He looks all grown up!

but still scrumptious :)

Conference Weekend

jon and cass joined us on conference sunday

these two had a ball

at first they just wanted to fight over this toy

then we helped them figure it out

it was a very happy story after that

oh and conference?

so glad it's every 6 months.

enjoyed it immensely

i forgot to mention..

the sun came out!

it came out for a whole week!

and the clark's of decanter circle were outside everyday.

the first day of sun i let brig take his racer out-of-doors
he really hasn't figured the whole scooting thing out

and i didn't want his new shoes to get all dirty

he wound up doing some of this instead.

but what a wonderful thing the sun is.

i hadn't realized how depressed i was until she came back.

bike rides, walks, parks, gardening, we even tried swimming.

welcome back dear sun!

a grandfather's blessing

brig got his first grandfather's blessing the day after his first birthday.

it was a very neat experience.

a very sweet blessing from a very sweet man.

i will remember it forever.

brig you are a very special boy to have such special men in your life.

thank you jaydee, for your example, love, and constancy.
