Platinum Boys

As I was picking up Nate from work last night Mr. Michael Dame approached to car and asked "when is sister Clark going to have us over for dinner" it made me laugh but fortunately that night I had lots of food so the Dame Brothers came over for dinner and Brian joined the festivities. One good thing about this summer job is the people in our office. There are some really good guys out here who we really like!L-R Mike Dame, Andy Dame, Brian Bailey, Hot Babe
(The Dame's grew up in Gainesville and know our cousins quite well, matter of fact Andy and Jody were high school sweet hearts!)

The Perfect Husband

Now it has come to my attention that some feel I bash on my husband A LOT on my blog. Now I feel its all in good jest... come one what else am I supposed to talk about in my life? But after reviewing the case.. its true I don't do my husband justice. I really do love him so much and he is the perfect husband for me and to me! So I've pulled out some old archived Nate pics. to discuss This particular pic was the first time we really hung out... we were at Casey's and after getting in the hot tub the two stole my camera, unbeknownst to me, and took this studly shot. ( Yes those pecs are real, and yes I bench 390, and yes that's more than the guy next to me)
This is Nate's 05' media guide pic. When he started talking to me and I didn't know who he was... this is where I went to put a face to the conversations (No one wears sexy sideburns so well!)

These I just like cause we don't have ANY pics of Nate playing ball at Utah. He did play and he was good! (He'll try tell you otherwise but when your playing with the 1's and 2's what can you say?) So these came from some obsessed Ute fan who took pics at the first Spring practice in 06'. (Nate is in all Red)

We have a standing joke about a few pictures... we look for good snap shots to put in our future obituaries. Nate eating his jerk chicken is our first choice... but the bra pic is timeless! What do you think?

Platinum Summer

This summer has been hard and great and a bunch of other feeling all at once. It has been so good for Nate and I to be on our own. Now marrying Nate I loved him and knew he'd be successful. He played college ball so he never really had a job before we were married beside with the family. To some that would seem skeptical, you know questions one work ethic, but Nate proves quite the contrary. He really is good at everything he wants to do. Now here is the fine line as to why Nate is great though... There are a lot of people that are good at a lot of things. For some its little effort to be good at this or that, for other its a lot of effort but their good, but not all of them are smart. Nate is a very intelligent man. Not in the Jane Austen, Robert Frost sort of way but in everything else. So this summer, not only have I never seen Nate work so hard, he's REALLY great at it!

He has now sold 120 Security Systems, and is ranked 42 out of 400+ sales reps
(with it being his first year selling and -2 weeks from most of the people selling)
This is one of the houses he sold... okay now picture 119 more of them.... that's how many Nate has sold

Clearly, this is his mug shot.... truthfully it's the picture on his Platinum bag

The Perfect Wife.....

You know... its not as easy as it sounds but I am the perfect wife..... I lovingly came out to Indianapolis where I have nothing but my husband who just works and leaves me home to do whatever I want, I go to the pool, read all my favorite books, cooks fun recipes, sleep in, and work little... all in the name of being able to just be student this fall. Only a perfect wife would stand for treatment like this.
Of course because I knew I would be a perfect wife I demanded the perfect ring... a designer ring... a Michael B petite princess ring... and I got it! Doesn't it look beautiful?
Not one year later being perfect as usual.... I lost my Michael B petite princess

Well the ring was the first mishap of the summer.... the day we got here..... The next month I just out did myself... being under 21 with 2 accidents and 4 speeding tickets under my belt insurance companies love me. They actually tried to drop our coverage but screwed up the paperwork and consequently have to continue coverage... anyway, coming home from work I backed into a very large cement pole with Nate's precious "Mom" car. I KNOW, I am a perfect beautiful wife!

A Tribute to Lucy

Lucy Lucy...... There isn't a cuter odder dog around. I am so glad that she was able to come to Indianapolis with us. She has made a big difference for me... however her habits are so funny... So while in Indiana she has a few favorite spots to spend time, her favorite by far is underneath the bed. It plays safe house to her #1 fear in our apartment... the ICEMAKER! Yes I know... terrifying.
Secondly, Lucy is subject to much ridicule for being "fat" so as a good pet owner I ration her food. So she spends a good part of her day sitting in front of her bowl occasionally barking at. I find this most odd because Lucy the Princess refuses to EAT out of her bowl but will only eat what food is on the ground.
Thirdly, whenever we take Lucy out the front door, on her our way back in she rushes ahead of you and proceeds up the stairs (we live on floor level) then she sticks her head through the railing to greet you as you walk by.
And lastly..... she LOVES to sit, sleep, cuddle, and lick you as close to you as she can get. Nate is a sucker for Lucy, often I'll kick her off the bed or the couch but Nate never will.... if she lays on him he goes to every inconvenience to convenience her.

When Paige Comes Home...

*Disclaimer - I love my Husband

Well, after a long week away and many phone calls I felt very bad for my poor husband home alone and working so hard. I was excited to see him but a little put off about going back to Indy. I took the red eye flight home which was a bit of a pain and was to arrive at 5:00 am Tuesday morning. It is around 5:00 am that it began. I text Nate as soon as I landed to let his poor worrying heart know I was okay. His response: "So should I leave then". Yes my husband forgot to come pick up his wife. I was really bugged but decided I could kill some time by getting breakfast. Well I wasn't going to let the "mis communication" thwart my day. I had been saving the surprise all week! I chopped 10 inches of hair off and wanted to surprise Nate. So I wheel my bag out to the car, Nate jumps out hugs me, puts my bags in the trunk and gets back in the car. I get in the front seat look at him, he looks back, then I shout at him for not noticing my hair. He then says; "I just saw you for a second, you cut a couple inches off" pff... well we get home go to sleep then I awake to this....

The pictures don't really do it justice. Sink is full of dirty dishes, those are my birthday flowers completely dead, no water in them. What a treat to come home to. I spent the day cleaning.

Now I just wanted to illustrate the stark contrast in hair lengths. Would you notice?

Same Day Surgery

Well Dad you probably don't want me posting these... if you have objections you can call. Anyway... My Dad had a tumor removed from his bladder on Monday and I got to be with him at the hospital. He really is a funny man.... we waited about 3 hours before he went in for surgery but they gave him meds (his cocktail) about 2 hours before... silly silly Dad. The more meds, the more talk. And he's so funny after surgery... He pronounced his love for anyone that had called , Bob Berry and Glen Neilson included.

waiting...

Post surgery pee bag. Yeah I know looks like it felt good! I took this picture to show my dad what color it was.... so that's what color it was.

I love my family

I was fortunate enough my visit to see almost all of my family. And because I was away for my birthday everyone agreed to come to a belated birthday party! A new discovery was made this visit.... I LOVE cooking with my Mom! We had so much fun coming up with things to make.. not to mention her house makes cooking easy! She has everything! I'm used to a sauce pan, two skillets, a mixing bowl, and a spatula. no no Pam has it all. So we concocted lots of good food, including this lovely Giada birthday cake!

This was the first visit in which Gwyn decided I wasn't the babysitter and that she "wanted to hold me" ha! Her is very cute... although she is a little disheveled for Gwyn in this picture... she is always very done up, I was witness to her primping as she got ready with me every morning.

Kennan took my camera to take pictures of me blowing out my cake.... she snapped a few around the room and I love the pics. It really captures a night at my parents with us all there. Most the Williams feel inclined to strike a pose.... but those cheesy smiles aren't all spontaneous.. its just the atmosphere!

Minie's photo shoot

My new little Minie is so cute! And we fell in love at first site... but true to my terrible photo taking I left Utah with only one silly picture of her! It was at her photo shoot and my flash about blinded her..... sad sad me. But I stole a few from the photographer

Now I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pictue of the Queen on her throne.. look at that face!
Now one very great thing about Minerva is that she doesn'y close that little mouth... oh me love her!

My Burthday!

This might be the best time of year....

I couldn't ask for a better birthday this year ! I think people really do love me. In my 20 wizened years I have decided birthdays are made fabulous by yourself. You have to be excited its your birthday and make it what you want. So, that is exactly what I did. Nate kindly took the day off to accompany me with my scheduled day. It began with a lovely breakfast picnic in the oldest park in Indianapolis, I made myself quiche, muffins, a lovely fruit combination, and OJ. Nate came along. Afterward we went home dressed and just made it on time for a matinee of Ratatouille. Following the film we drove out to the Fashion Mall up north and found me something to wear for dinner. I also had a disappointing make-over at Sephora... but we picked up some cheese cake for the drive home and that made up for it. The last event of the day was our romantic dinner at the melting pot. We had a LOT of fun eating. The whole day was also sprinkled with birthdays greeting for very nice family members. And that culminated my wonderful day! Thank you people, you do love me and I love you too!

I might be a little Lizzy lipstick here.... but its my birthday

At the melting pot we ate at they had a strip of tables called "lovers lane" each tables was a private booth that was undisturbed by other guest. Ha!

Jorth of Fuly!

One of the sad realities of being a grown up is that holidays aren't always holidays... you have to work. So Nate was compelled to work the fourth and I opted to do the same to avoid being alone. However, we happily reunited that evening at the Indianapolis Indians game!

Now I posted this picture because for some reason Nate loves to make this face when I want to take pictures. Not funny any more now is it Nate!

They had the most pathetic firework show.... but the cities fireworks were awesome! But we had parked in a 8 story parking garage so Nate wanted to avoid traffic so we left half way through.... Something my dad would do but at least my Dad would do sound effects to make up for missing the finale. (ohhh ahhhh)

King's Island

To break up the monotony of the summer Nate and I ventured down to Cincinnati to visit King's Island! It was quite a treat, 14 roller coaster all bigger and better than Lagoon's meager selection. My favorite was "The Beast" it just so happens that it is the LONGEST wooden roller coaster in the world. I don't know why, but there is just something about wooden roller coasters that is very scary.

So here is Nate before getting in line to ride historic "Beast"

And this is a stock photo of "The Beast"
Now for me, the games at amusement parks are the biggest wast of money. However, it is a total different story for Nate. It should be common knowledge that he is a master at the game formally known as "Wacky Wire". He takes much pride in this, matter of fact the first trip to Lagoon together he dazzled me with these skills and won me one of the largest stuffed animals in the park... and then later that evening instructed me to sit at the other side of the park and wait while he proceeded to the wacky wire booth and won the game incognito again (one is only allowed a prize if won once a year). In any event, King's Island's "Wacky Wire" was a little extra wacky and after $25 the master decided the life size spider man was not worth it and tried a different game. The different game was actually cool, it was a 3-point shot game on a half court with a score board and all. So Nate manned up, pulled out some gorilla shots and won a NC outdoor basketball. Pretty cool......

Really this was the only disappointment at King's Island... probably the coolest coaster was down. "Son of Beast" is the TALLEST wooden roller coaster in the world(218 ft). It was down from an injury the week before but you wouldn't believe the look of the thing... WOW
