boo
are you scared?
well this is the quality of photos you get when you go to sea world by yourself
why would you do that you say?
well i've been experimenting with this 'tag along on business trips' thing
verdict?
resounding yes!
but keep up your energy and don't expect a lot of hubby
nate headed down to san diego for this orthopeadic conference and said i could come. i figure any change of scenery is nice. originally i thought we were meeting family down there to play with but they had a change of plans due to the inclement weather and i decided i'd still go anyway.
glad i did because, like i said, change of scenery.
the weather wasn't perfect but better than expected and i spent a lot more time with nate than planned.
we also took one or two pictures...
nate dropped brig and i off at sea world after we left the airport
it was a ghost town. brig and i walked through a few exhibits, took a nap on the grass, then watched shamoos big show. which is still as amazing as my 6 year old head remembered.
we stayed in del mar and were pretty close to the beach. so the morning we had sunshine we went for a visit.
briggy loved it.
after the beach we drove a round long enough for brig to take a good nap
then wound up in coronado in time for some lunch and a stroll
one day we''ll stay here...
just need to make a our reservation a year in advance and stay for 3 nights.
lessons learned:
1. our room in the marriot del mar was probably just as fun as disneyland would be for brig at this stage
2. bottles suck on vacation
3. the bartimeaus trilogy was an excellent recommendation from my brother
4. me and my stroller are the bomb

You are a very brave girl and wise to "seize the day". Good things can happen when you go with the flow. It looks like Brig had a great time too! XOXO
