Visions of the Sea

This is the extent of my actual ship pictures.

For those fellow cruisers, you know room service is complementary. It's the same food you get anywhere else on the cruise but they bring it to you. So one morning we decided to get breakfast. They screwed up our order and this is what we wound up with. We touched maybe 3 plates and two glasses. AND to top it off... we didn't have any cash to tip the poor girl.

Again, fellow cruisers know what this is... but I've never has a monkey so I was pumped about it.

Mazatlan

I think the cruise comedian pinned it right on the nose when in his routine he said we should have just cruised past Mazatlan and on to Puerta Vallarta. It wasn't a really pretty place. But we had a very funny time. We had decided to rent scooters before we got off the ship, but Nate saw this and thought it a better idea.

It wasn't till he filled out the forms that he realized it was a golf cart.

Needless to say we were pretty much hysterical driving through town in this at a whomping 25 mph.

We drove to the beach and rented a jet ski for a half-hour, it was a blast except Nate didn't bring his swimsuit and on our return to the beach a wave got the better of him and he was fully immersed.

After our beach experience we decided to have a seafood feast; lobster and 4 variations of shrimp. It was fun, but very par... the lobster itself was Mexican and all prickly looking.
After lunch we cruised around town and found this awesome lookout area so here is one angle

And here is the other

Cabo

So we had Nate's Platinum cruise last week. It was fun, we were well taken care of, it was just stressful timing and honestly... we're a little cruised out. So.... consequently I did a horrible job taking pictures( a cruise ship can only look so different you know?).

Before we got on the cruise we had about 2 hours to kill so the tour group decided to drop us off at some lame pier shopping place. This and the guy who made bubbles were the highlights.

Ah.. Cabo... We decided on a beach/snorkeling day in Cabo. So we took the 'glass bottom taxi' (the glass bottom sucked) and headed over to the infamous Lovers Beach
The taxi on the way to the beach so kindly took us around to see the arcos and other natural beauties of Cabo.
On the beach... not cute picture but I figure my sisters will appreciate it.

After the beach we walked into town for some authentic Mexican. Miam!

BY who?

Alright they won. It was a bit of a painful game. Another "eternity in the hearts and minds of cougar fans" crap went on. We were good sports though...

See we drove and sat by BYU fans.

We were excited at first. AND how cool is this! L. Tom Perry was making his way up to the press box, and of course shaking every ones hand on the way up... but as he was walking they were beginning the prayer, so he had to stop. He stopped right next to me and put his arm around my shoulder for the duration of the prayer... then after the prayer asked me if I heard what they said about sportsmanship in the prayer... Of course I didn't how could I think of anything during the prayer when an apostle has his arm around me!

Then this began happening

Scott and Annette and Steve and JayDee. Really... football is the best with the Clarks

Our BYU friends... I think we both behaved.

Thanksgiving

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had! I have never had a Thanksgiving smaller than 20 people in my whole life. It's always just a big family affair. So this year at the Clark's it was only JayDee and Coleen, Jayson and Julianne (they're on the same holiday's as us), and me and Nate. It was sooo nice though. Just relaxing wonderful conversation, we sat at the table for about 2 1/2 hours, then relaxing and enjoying one another company.

While everyone was preparing the food, Nate was on puppy watch. However, this exact shot was taken about 7 years ago on the same couch with two different dogs. Nate loves animals. Animals love Nate. And I love that about Nate.
Coleen has beautiful china ( brought back from Vietnam with JayDee pre-marriage) and beautiful crystal as well. Her dining room was stunning dressed for 8.
However, about an hour before we ate we all came to the consensus that cherry cokes were needed. Coleen's goes to this gas station literally everyday for a cherry coke in one of their cups. They give them to her free at this point because she's such a loyal customer. JayDee was kind enough to get us all GIANT cokes for the meal. Ha it maybe was the best part!
Viola! bon appetit!
The whole day Jayson and Nate were non stop playing.... ping-pong, basketball, dogs, etc... so after dinner we all decided to play a game of HORSE or some variation, boys vs girls, then we sat and talked in the new play house. Yep... a playhouse with mini furniture.

Where did November go?

Really the month flew by. So much school. The only real activity we had was going to Utah Football games.

I love pre game.. and while I was cheering I always thought it was the biggest deal... turns out no one is really there at that point, nor do they watch the field.
We sort of have uniforms for Utah games.. these are pics from 2 different games but we're dressed the same. Red jacket for me red hoodie for Nate.
This was the Wyoming game. Nate was really nervous, I tried to capture it but he just looks pissed instead.
JayDee always has his bag of goodies which includes: head phones with radio so he can listen to the game, binoculars, media guide, seat cushion, and cash for treats!

Steve and his grandson Zach. They've faithfully been at every Utah game this year (Steve bleeds red unlike JayDee). But Zach is such a cute kid, its been fun sitting with them.

Meet Redford

Yes, I know. Cutest face. And yes, we did buy a friend for Lucy.

This is Redford. He was nameless for a day until this fit. He's named Redford because he has so much red. Bruno and Jack were the other serious options.

We bought him for Lucy. However, she's not sure how she feels

He's got nice bowed front legs, makes him look like a boy

The say Cavalier girls love you, but the boys are in love with you
He is so much like Lucy, we love it

Lucy doesn't yet.
