7 brides for 7 brothers

it's actually really funny to me that that is a reality for nate's family.

7 boys 1 girl and consequently 7 wives. we get together as clark's at least twice a year. it is always fun and quite eventful  usually us wives, well me, look at it as brother time though. 
my oh my nate loves himself some brother time. we've been saying for years that the girls are going to get together and it finally happened this last weekend. additionally it marked brigs first trip.

oh, and did i mention that 6 of us wives had ourselves a baby in the last 12 months?

and yes, they are all that amazing in real life

anywhere we went was two babies to one mom in the middle

so this was us on our way to dear lizzie

him learned to love his car seat this trip

sad news though.... he's outgrown that snuzzler :(

we lunched and shopped for three hours at that little shop and enjoyed trying to find what we wanted for our "credit" coleen gave us, oh and julianne and savannah entertained us all with their fashion show

sissy took these our first morning and i was really embarrassed at the time (we had stayed up soo late and i was soo tired)
i really like them as time goes by though
cause really, i love napping with brig

i think he likes it too

one of the best things about this trip? 

i became liberated!

i am a professional in public nurser and changer AND i'm not so afraid of germs no more.

i actually don't put hand sanitizer on every time i hold my boy

what an amazing trip though.

6 adorable babies, 8 incredible women, late nights, delicious food, good conversation, and a shared love for clark men.

thank you to coleen for making it possible and nat for allllll the planning and organizing you did.

i myself loved every minute.

* side note: during the onesie photo shoot brig was attacked.... well cleo has just barely learned to sit up and it was asking quite a bit for her to stay sitting so long. consequently she slowly drooped until she found a nice resting spot on brig. he didn't like it much and it actually caused a ripple effect of all babies crying which lead to the end of our photo shoot

my buddy

remember this hideous doll?

well his name was 'my buddy' and he had a sister named 'kid sister' and brooke and i loved them (pretty sure buddy was hers she always liked the ugly boy stuff)

well guess what?

i have a real one!

and i may or may not sing the song to brig :)

unfortunately our activities aren't always the most fun

like here where were folding laundry

but

he's my buddy

and he doesn't seem to mind

a name and a blessing

we did this today!

what a wonderful day it was

i feel so old and i know its bad to say cause i should have been 'enjoying the road' but it feels like i've finally started my life.

i am so thankful to have a husband who is a worthy priesthood holder. he gave brig a beautiful blessing. very well spoken. very loving. he even blessed him to have a special love for me :)

this is how we started the morning.

i had to wake brig and i wasn't sure how it would go

thisis what i learned:

not to bath him BEFORE i feed him

we had old faithful (pee which is common) + a bowel movement.

all in the infant tub.

.delish.

but after that i fed him and he was the happiest boy in the world.

that's why he is sitting smiling at dad helping him get some inspiration for the events to come.

this represents all the priesthood in your circle brig

a powerhouse of priesthood

i am so proud to have had such good men bless my baby.

i love everyone of those men.

i love none more than these two though

on mothers day.

since they are the only ones with a house out here they play host way to often; but our afternoon was lovely lounging with family and eating yummy foods.

twinner cousins

oh so beautiful lisa just HAPPENED to land 20 minutes away from me for the summer.

she had her teeny tiny adorable twins just one week before brig arrived

they were six weeks early and had a bit of a traumatic arrival into the world but doing so great now.

It is so fun because lisa and i are going through the exact same thing right now but it is SO different.

.obviously.

she has 2!

anyway.

i had to see these two adorables for myself

beckham, ellery, and brig

who looks like a giant?

really though, he felt huge after i left her house.

i don't know how people can do multiples...

safe to say there was a moment... or two when it was a bit stressful

my cousin lisa is an amazingly strong woman and she does two beautifully

she has such good babies. they hardly made a peep when i was there.

lucky for him i think they're awfully cute still :)

alright this is a quick update to chronicle what i meant to LAST week

baby did great at his 5 week appointment

9 lbs 8 oz 29%

21 1/4 inches 23%

head 15.2 cm 47%

these stats mean that these are filling out a bit...

at this point in time we are:

-NOT sleeping through the night (10lbs is the magic #)

-taking a bottle beautifully while mom is at work

- going to the movies! even if the movie leaves one wanting...

-developing a lovely case of baby acne (thank you robyn for the hydrocortisone tip)

-becoming quite the spit-upper

-generally becoming a happy boy

I did want to take lots of beautiful pictures of little man... but i tried to do this after a 30 minute "dress up" session
